Born and bred in Cardiff, each of our pieces are designed, developed and manufactured right here in our city centre workspace. We want to revolutionise the way you shop bridal, invoking a more sustainable and customisable approach that works for every human no matter shape or size.

MISSION
Our mission is to bring the bridal world back to reality and to offer a sustainable alternative to mass market and high street brands. We’re creating our pieces with integrity and purpose. We want to create a brand thats more than just bridal, we’re a lifestyle.
ROOTS
Director + Designer Sophie Creed studied fashion design in Glamorgan University before setting up a vintage clothing and homeware store specialising in vintage gowns and up-cycled day dresses. After inheriting her Grandmothers seamstress abilities, her love for vintage pattern cutting developed and the first E&W bridal collection launched in 2014 with a modern take on the patterns she’d come to love.
SMALL BRITISH BUSINESS
We’re so proud of where we come from and we’ll shout about to anyone. Just ask us for some recommendations on where to go in Wales and we’re all over it, not only do we have an incredible and inspiring landscape but a whole host of independent creative and talented humans. As a small business, we do everything in our power to support the small businesses around us in from our daily lives to our suppliers.
FAVES
We love humanist weddings, Liberal outlooks, Urban jungles, Interior design, Travel culture, Ethical practices, shopping local but most of all we love animals! Particularly our studio dog Fritz the mini dachshund.
SIZING + INCLUSIVITY
Our in store sample range from size 8 to size 22, meaning we can generally try dresses on from a size 2 - 28. We currently make up to a size 28 with standard patterns but offer bespoke patterns with endless sizing, no 'body' is out of limits, we make just for you.
THE DESIGNER
After leaving studies and opening a vintage store in 2009, our designer Sophie was creating one-off pieces for the store from vintage and recycled fabrics. The sustainability side of this is what has followed through to what has become the brands core values now.

In 2014, after being asked to make multiple bespoke dresses for brides, Sophie decided to launch the very first 3 piece collection that began E&W and similar styles are still seen today throughout our collections.

Sophie isn't confined to the sketch pad, she oversees every single part of our brand and is still our main seamstress today. With an intricate knowledge of dress construction, we think this gives our brand the edge it has to create the patterns and designs that capture so many of our brides.
